This week I’m going to be partying along the torch route as well as trying some indoor flying (?), having a nose around Windsor Castle and dancing in a room filled with complete silence. It’s Cambridge to Bournemouth this week and it’s guaranteed to be interesting.
This week I will be…
- Having a tour of the Gunpowder Mills at Waltham Abbey
- Punting on the river Cam
- Having a less leisurely time at the Bodyflight Experience (indoor flying? Sounds like a lot of fun to me)
- Going on a tour of the fascinating university town of Oxford
- Witnessing an all singing, all dancing spectacular at the Tree of Life celebrations
- Checking out the torch celebrations in Henley and visiting the Leander Rowing Club
- Having a nose around Windsor Castle
- Taking the plunge again at Boscombe on Sea for either a surfing or paddle board lesson (haven’t decided which yet)
- Enjoying a silent disco at Pavillion Dance in Bournemouth
On the menu this week…
- Taking tea in the place where ‘taking tea’ first got its meaning in the Duchess Tea Rooms
- Having a pub lunch looking straight out to Windsor Castle at the Horse and Groom
- Dining out at Urban Reef looking out to sea in Bournemouth
Where I’ll be staying…
Camping and Caravaning Club sites along the way including Gulliver’s Club Site, Oxford and Cambridge Club Sites and Holmsley Camping at the Forest Site.
